Cosplay can easily become an expensive hobby, what with the different materials, tools, and time it takes to make even one costume. It is always important to keep a list of what you need, and how to get it before hand. doing your research and finding the right materials and tools to use for a project beforehand can seriously reduce costs.

Learning from others is one of, if not the most important thing an up and coming cosplayer can do. Even professionals are constantly learning of new materials and coming up with better, more efficient ways to use them. Talking with others and sharing the wealth of information only helps everyone make better, cheaper cosplay.

One of my personal favourite ways of deciding cosplay is Recycling. maybe you’ve made a similar costume to what your thinking of making, or maybe you have a shirt that’s the same colour as the one your cosplay wears or something similar. Reusing things you’ve already made and taking things from your closet or things you might have thrown out (like your delivery boxes!) makes cosplay a breeze.
